I recently completed NW School of Fly Fishing “Fast Track to Fly Fishing” course and confidently offer my highest recommendation.

Mike shared years of fly-fishing expertise during 35 online videos and 10 hourly face to face sessions based on my availability and desire to learn. The online videos were concise, informative, and easy to understand. The face to face sessions were a combination of presentation, white board drawing, discussion, and hands on demonstration.

Mike taught me the science of fly-fishing including entomology, casting, reading the water, equipment, and more. I graduated his course confident I could get on either a tailwater or freestone river and know exactly how to catch fish. Obviously, I still have to research what the fish are eating; however, Mike also taught me how to do that.

Previously, I have attended two weekend courses with re-known fly-fishing experts and hired a handful of guides for day fly fishing trips. All were beneficial; however, none were as advantageous or as Mike’s Fast Track course.

In short, if you want to get out and fish a couple times per year, the guided trips might be good for you. If you want to learn how to fly fish and be able to get out on your own to enjoy a lifetime of fly-fishing, then take Mike’s Fast Track to Fly Fishing course.
