Mike Sandifer is a teacher of fly fishing. As owner of Northwest School of Fly Fishing and Northwest Trout Shop Mike has spent the last 50 years fly fishing the waters of the Northwest with 20 of those years teaching anglers how to be successful fly fishing. Northwest School of Fly Fishing is the accumulation of those 50 years of experience and learning. Mike spends most of his days working with new anglers to make them successful on our waters and with skilled anglers helping them get even better. Mike is also a skilled fly rod and landing net maker with over 30 years experience creating some of the best dry fly rods, nymph fly rods and landing nets available.
Mike Created Mike’s Fly Box as a tool for anglers to be successful fly fishing waters in Idaho and Montana. Two of the most important tools a fly angler needs to be successful are a great fly rod and the right flies.  Mike’s Fly Box flies are not just randomly selected but are proven trout killers and are the flies that Mike will be using himself for the upcoming hatches on our rivers.
